Cove Base Installation

Another service we offer is cove base installation. We can install or remove any cove base whether its one room or an entire building Rob and his crew can get the job done at an affordable price.

What is cove base?

Cove base is a type of trim that is installed along the base of an interior wall where the wall meets the floor. It is primarily made of rubber or vinyl and is used to protect the base of a wall from damage and to provide a finished and more aesthetically pleasing look where it is installed. Vinyl and rubber molding is often selected over traditional wood baseboards because it is typically less expensive and is generally easier to install. Extremely versatile, cove base is manufactured in a variety of colors to match most interior color schemes. It is sold in rolls or cut pieces of differing lengths.

Vinyl composition tile (VCT) installation

Another type of flooring Rob often installs is VCT. Vinyl composition tile (VCT) is a finished flooring material used primarily in commercial and institutional applications.  Tiles are applied to a smooth, leveled sub-floor using a specially formulated vinyl adhesive that remains tacky but does not completely dry. Tiles are typically waxed and buffed using special materials and equipment. Below are some examples of VCT installation.vct installationvct tile pattern

Water damage repair work

In this case a busted pipe decided to try to turn our customers basement into an indoor pool luckily the water was stopped before it soaked through the entire carpet. We started the job by folding the carpet back up to where the water reached and removing the padding underneath which held most of the water.

Once the carpet was fully dried (usually within a couple of days) we returned and replaced the padding which was removed earlier.

With the padding replaced we began the re-installation of the now dry carpet. You’ll notice that the carpet has ripples in it from the drying process, this is where Rob’s expertise comes into play. Using one of his specialized tools called a “mini stretcher he is able to stretch the carpet as tight if not tighter than the day it was first installed.
